Hi Twan, I’m Flow guitar player from INFEST grindcore band from France and I’m here to try to answer your questions about our new effort “Moshroom” release this year by Metal Age Productions.
I heard a rumor that you were a rapper before joining Infest. If not, try to reject this rumor.
... We start very well !!! What the hell !! Yes I was a rapper in other life why not ?!! No man sorry I was and I’m nowadays too an extreme music musician and fan. Only that !!
And maybe there is something shocking to say about your fellow bandmates?
Other INFEST band mates are all rappers... If they read this interview I’m a dead… but no panic they do not know how to read !!!!
The band started in 2003. Mostly a band is started out of friendship and their love for a specific style. What were your idologies in the beginning?
OOhh you’re right. When we started the project in 2003 the only goal was to play an aggressive and extreme music without compromise and specific ideologies. Years after years we learn a lot about the scene, about the gigs, we meet a lot of people during tours and finally we are trying to make the thinks better like possible.
Do you as a collective make plans for the future? Like a business plan companies do? I assume you have some goals to reach.
No particular plans... we’re not a company but perhaps global objectives.. trying to tour more around more and more countries and trying to be here for long time. It’s not easy every day and every time but we take time and are ready to achieve theses goals.
What goals do you already achieved? And what must you achieve before they kick you out of the band?
We have made 2 full length, touring in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany… before they kick me?? humm let me think about... why not play one brutal gig at the Obcsene extreme fest..
"Moshroom" is the latest release and received positively on BRUTALISM.com. Did you got some negative comment? Do you take those serious and picking out the negative aspects?
When we have negative aspect on a review we try to analyse it and to look if it’s right... If yes we work on it.. but in general reviews of “Moshroom” are pretty good and we are very happy that people like our work.

What is the progression you made comparing to "Feel The Rage"?
A lot!! We play faster, production is different, vocals are better in my opinion they are two differents albums but “Moshroom” is more grindcore and more brutal it’s sure !!!
What is the meaning of "Moshroom" and the illustration on the cover? Is it a guy who has gone insane after moshing and had to wear the jacket in a solitairy room?
You're totally right Twan, “Moshroom” is the mix between Mosh and little place. And you become mad.
It’s the illustration of the CD in the tracks and in the whole album layout.
And why are French people fond of hallucinating mushrooms? And why the fuck do you come to Holland for the weed?
I can’t answer to your question!! I’m so far away from Holland... But I think you have some good legalisations with soft drugs isn’t it? In France... only repression!!
You did the opening slot for Sepultura. How was that? Did the crowd digged you or were they purely for Sepultura?
OOhh we played in our city and for the release date of “Moshroom” so lot of people were here for us too. It was in summer so a lot of tourists too like German and US people. It was a pretty good gig !!
I saw photos of you backstage with them. Did you had contact with them or were they acting like rockstars?
They are not acting like rockstars. They are acting like professionals musicians who are touring worldwide long time during the year.
Some French unknowns band are they worst!!
Do you also agree that Sepultura should retire?
Yes man, it’s sure that Cavalera’s brother departure was difficult for the band... but I respect their choice... but actually I’m not listening anymore their music.
Who is that titty queen on your page with the written Infest name on her chest? The photo is not even soft porn! Could you find a better model?

How did you manage to appear on the Nasum tribute? Were you able to choose a song yourself or was it done by Power It Up?
We choose the song, it was difficult because a lot of songs were already chosen but finally we are very happy to make the cover of “The Everlasting Shame”. It’s a song close from INFEST style!!
Appearing on this tribute you should have some affection with Nasum. What made the band special to you? Ever meet them or played with them?
No we never played with them, but yes, for sure, that is a special band... for me the kings of the grindcore...
Everybody knows about the tragic death of Mieszko (already 5 years ago). Do you remember what you did when you heard it? And how did you heard it?
It was very near with the death of Dimebag Darrell... It was a tragedy for all metal fans I think.

We want to release a Split with Utopium and Trepan Dead this year. We'll tour in Spain for some gigs and it will be the time to prepare the upcoming album!!
