Human Bloodfeast

intie with Heyme done by Rick, October 2007.

Hello there, welcome and thank you for taking the time out to talk to us alittle bit.  I miss Bavaria very much.  I lived in Wurzburg for some years, how are things there in Regensburg?
The weather is fine, the breweries are still in business the city is as beautiful as ever. You see, everting is still very fine. And at yours? Hope fine, too?

Things are well here, I appriciate it.  Please introduce yourselves and what you do in Human Bloodfeast.
I am calling myself Heyme and I’m the vocalist of the band.

Please give us here at BRUTALISM a brIEf run down on how and when Humna Bloodfeast got started.
The guys started back in late 1999. Only Marcus on Guitars and Joe on drums are left as founding members from back then. I entered the picture in 2003.

Your guys cd is out entitled ’She Cums Gutted’.  I love that fucking title!  You guys are out on Twlight...how did you hook up with those folks and how do you guys feel about your business relationship with Twilight?
A friend of us sent the recording to Twilight and they came to us if we would be interested in a cooperation. That was pretty cool, ‘cause we did some applications before the recording and received only refusals. We were very surprised it worked out like this, since we didn’t get in touch with Twilight before. I think Twilight is an interesting fresh label. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to promote the new effort in a form it would deserve it. But that was primarly our fault because of time problems. I hope that’ll improve in the near future! In spring we’re doing a little weekend tour through Germany with our partners in crime from Tombthroat. I’m looking forward to that! Ah, Rick, and Texas would inndeed be cool, too! Can you check your connections?;)

Who did the art work for the record?  Its fucking sick!  I love it!  How do others get in contact with him/her if they want work done?
Haha, funny story about that. Our guitarist saw a portrait painting in a friend’s house. By that time we were searching for adequate painters and he liked the portrait and asked if the painter would do other works on demand. It turned out that the painter was the friend’s ex- girlfriend. You can imagine that she never did such “artworks” before. The only thing he gave to her were some Cannibal Corpse albums and songtitles and lyrics from our upcoming album. We didn’t give her any other instructions ore wishes for the end-product. She was totally free in her ideas about that. As she presented the final work to us in a nice icecafe in Schwandorf surrounded by families drinking their Sunday afternoon coffee, we were really blown away.

Now just from the album title, I would suspect that people look at the title and say, ’This is gonna be fucking great.  Sick as fuck Death Metal.’  What inspired you guys to write about the things you write about?
Houh, if I would know the answer… I haven’t really found out until now what really goes up in our minds to deliver such lyrics. Perhabs we shouldn’t even ask. We couldn’t want to know the answer. But by then I hold it with that accurate sentence of a wise men: “Death Metal was never meant to be pretty, baby”!

When Human Bloodfeast writes songs, is it a true calaborative effort or do certian guys in the band come to practice with songs or riffs to expand on?
The main and basic structure always comes from Marcus. The rest of the band is then arranging only recurrences, changes in the order of the track and some additional riffs.

Does everyone contribute to lyrics or does one person do all the lyrics?
On SCG, five lyrics came from Joe, four from me and one from the old vocalist.

Lets talk about the best and worst part about being in a band...Touring. Where can folks go and see Human Bloodfeast..well...make her cum gutted (hahah)?!!  Ok seriously, any tours or shows lined up in the near future?
As I told before a little weekend tour takes place in October/November with Tombthroat. We are all students or in jobs, so longer tours are always a bit difficult to schedule.

About 3 years ago my band and myself had the chance to Cum On Europe.... When Is Human Bloodfeast going to Cum On America?
If it’s about me, I’m ready haha. You have an offer? If the people in America want to see we’ll Cum onto you!

What was the best show you guys have played and why?
I like sweaty aussaults in small clubs the most. That delivers most the feeling, that death metal should have. Straight in your face, Blood, Sweat and tears haha…!

What is the craziest fucking story you have from touring/playing?
Ah they are always crazy stories when five silly guys hit the road. Too many too mention. We’ll have to evaluate this further with some crate of beers…

I ask all bands this question, so, In your opinion, How do you feel about the music scene there in Germany?  What bands do you feel deserve a shot to be heard?
Well, I think the underground lives everywhere. Shisostoma is a cool band. Really cool Death metal in the Asphyx/Pestilence vein. Or the guys from Obscura. We have played some time together. They are something like neighbours. Really cool!

Moving on to the future of the band... do you guys have any new material in the works, and if so when can we have a chance to listen to them??
Yeah we have some songs in the works. But you will hear no date, last time it took an year more to release them. I don’t make any announcement anymore, haha…
I hope very soon…

Are there any bands that you would particularly like to hit the road with?
Can I choose? Haha… Then I would take Slayer.

Any words of inspiration that you would like to give to any young upstarts wanting to form a band?
Never give up! And: oncerts, concerts, concerts… All that helps to come further.

In your opinion, where are the best places to play in Germany?  The Best Place Human Bloodfeast played thus far?
Hm, depends on the people. Playing in front of 4 people is always shit. Doesn’t matter where. Its always best when you can party with the fans after the gig and drink till morning time hearing metal classics, haha…

Does Human Bloodfeast have a vision of where you want to be in the next 5 years?
Hm. I think the should play gory Death Metal, how it should meant to be. Death Metal rules!

Well thats about it for me and my retarded questions.  I appriciate you guys letting me pick at your brain alittle bit.  So without further ado, in the words of Twan, BRUTALISM.com Master....... LAST RITES?????
Thanks for the Intie, thanks for the great support, thanks for supporting the underground, stay Death Metal!

Again guys, thanks for talking with us, and I look forward to the day we can meet face to face, and have our own crazy and silly story to tell one day.  Best Wishes to you all and your families, keep in touch, I will do the same.
