Lacerated - The Vile Domain

An interesting project is the one proposed by Lacerated, five-pieces from Denver, Colorado. "The Vile Domain" is the first official work for this band born only in 2019. Almost full length playing time for this EP which with only 5 songs is close to 30 minutes of violent sound.

Lacerated try to intimidate us with an average of almost 5 minutes per song. The problem is that the 5 guys play a very violent death metal with a drumming that will never let you breathe.

Despite the length of the songs, the EP is absolutely neither boring nor repetitive. Each song is an act of sonic violence with no escape.

"The Vile Domain" plays in a very modern way while remaining somehow attached to a certain death metal sound of the early 90s. Some of the components, for example the drummer (ex Infestation), come from bands active in that flourishing period.

Clone and Rellik in my opinion are the strong points of this work.

If you love old (and good) death metal played in a modern way you can't help but love this album.

Undecided until the end for the vote of this EP. Usually I don't go too far for an EP, but given the length and the certainly positive content, I can only promote this work with full marks.
