Temple Of Decay - Anti Deus
Second album by Temple Of Decay, a one-member band, Mortt, who takes care of all aspects of his project, the only thing he has delegated has been the creation of the logo, work of Ihasan. The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered at Terror Studio, and is released through the labels Black death production (CD) and Godz ov war Productions (Digital). TEMPLE OF DECAY begins in 2019 and in 2020 the EP “Last Manifestation Of Life” is released, in which it already laid the foundations for a fast and brutal style of black metal, to which he added epic and sinister melodic parts. With the first album “Rigor Mortis” (2022), he did so again, a perfect black metal album with melodic overtones but without losing its strength and dark atmosphere at any time.
Of course, the next episode of Temple Of Decay was not going to be any less, with a title that is already a declaration of intentions “Anti Deus” and the impious cover by Mentalporn. It consists of six tracks and in just over half an hour it shows us a serious work of black metal with some experimental elements, epic and warrior choruses, speed together with melodies creating a poisonous atmosphere that surrounds everything. A name that can remind you, I think Marduk is one influence, although with the great number of bands that there are from 90s and in Poland, I think I fall very short.
In this second work his proposal has varied in some touches, adding some elements such as choruses, which sound sinister, parts that seem like a black manifesto, claiming his place, I think he has evolved with respect to his previous works, although we will still classify it as black metal, the tempo is now not the maximum speed, (it is still fast), he places more emphasis on slower, epic parts, without losing aggressiveness. The voice also has an important role in this work, being aggressive and firm, imposing a powerful message throughout the album.
It is a great album, which will be short, you will need to listen to it several times to taste it well and appreciate all the dark moments that await us.
