French quartert Aldaaron returns with their 2010 release Nous Reviendrons Immortels. This is the follow up release of their 2007 album Des Legendes et Anciens Deux. In recent times France has been at the forefront of the international Black Metal scene; with bands like Anorexia Nervosa, Deathspell Omega, Peste Noire and even more so with the esteemed Les Legions Noires or the infamous Drakkar productions. Aldaaron is not the type of band that is pushing any creative boundaries, however they are forging decent music in the vain of Gorgoroth, Agalloch and Belenos. A band like Gorgoroth focuses upon Anti-Christian themes, whereas Aldaaron centers upon a less polemic idea.
Musically, this album repeats the same thoughts we have heard before in the Black Metal scene; the melancholic melodies, pounding double bass drums.
