Arckanum / Svartsyn - Split
Carnal Records is releasing an interesting split with two Swedish bands. Both playing black metal but with a different approach. Arckanum is a one man band and already active since 1992! Harsh black metal in mid tempo with faster parts. Plain and ancient black metal with pagan touches. Melody can be heard in the hypnotising but straightforward guitarriffing with no leads and covered with raw vocals.
Svartsyn is also black but more thunderous with the hammering drums ahead. Less melodic but more aggressive than Arckanum. Vocalstyle is raw and riffs are swinging violence.
Concluding this split is a nice piece of black metal attacking!
