Artisian - Lament For The Eternal Frost
Harsh minimalistic black metal from London, UK. This band consist of 2 members and they play cold and bold styled songs. Songs are mostly played in the mid range with some breaks to a faster tempo. The vocals are the highlight on this disc and are raw and raspy. The drums and guitars are simplistic and not trying to break boundaries. No guitarleads nor bassdrum attacks, just plain and simple. Maybe that is why they call it minimalistic but I expected a bit more tension and thrilling parts. This album can not only thrive on nice vocals and has a problem to step out of the masses. Unless you don't like the glimmer and glitter on black metal.
