Ashent - Flaws Of Elation
This is one of the best progressive records I have heard in a long time. Ashent have hit the nail on the head with this release. Flaws Of Elation is a very impressive collection of songs that blend together emotional and melodic elements, with just enough brutality mixed in. Think of this record in this perspective-John Petrucci and Chuck (Death) writing songs. Envision that and you’ll get the idea. Fusion of Dream Theater Progressive ala “Images and Words” era with Death/Control Denied Technicallity and Heaviness. This is a release that you don’t want to miss out on!
