Blood Of Seklusion - Caustic Deathpath To Hell
an immense level of old school buzzsaw guitars, a sound similar to Demonical washes over you, a sound that defines this genre. Picking up immense speed ‘My Desire’ thunders into different territories (faster paced death/grind spectrum) without losing it’s backbone. There are riffs that make walls bleed, there is an intensity that is matched only by some of the greats. You may think, oh no, another band doing the same thing, this maybe the case, but what I find redeeming about ‘Caustic Deathpath to Hell’ is the relentless nature of this beast. You won’t find many of the tunes, especially those like ‘Epidemic Madness’ straying too far from the path (The Left Hand Path that is!) of musical variation and results in a comfortable effort, an album where you know where you are.
Whilst the album is filled with many pleasurable earthy tones of the demented, the album is a little long to have on regularly as a quick death metal fix. I say this as I find a full album play is more suited for Blood of Seklusion rather than “shuffle” listens on an i-pod for example. Italy now throws in their marker for the death metal ultimate fighting challenge, and I think Blood Of Seklusion will fair rather well in the grand scheme of things.
