Braincasket - Methods Of Persuasion
Braincasket, hailing from this site's homeland the Netherlands, have only been going a very short time (since '05) but judging from what I hear on this demo have their shit very much down! Only 3 tracks are only on offer here from these dutchmen but fukkin hell, they pack a punch!! And what with only clocking in at the 7 min mark, it the sonic equivalent to getting a kick in the teeth then getting another 2 kicks in teeth whilst you slump to the ground as you look for your teeth! I hear all sorts death metal delight in their mix ranging from old school Cannibal Corpse, to early Exhumed and all the way back to some old-school Skinless.
What more do you want!? The songs are jam packed with grinding blasts and gutturals with thick chainsaw sounding guitars all presented in a quite slick sounding production which is all together damn heavy. All the songs are absolutely blistering which I really dug a lot but naturally I was wanting more. 7 mins was not nearly enough for this listener. These guys have had only an EP out in `06 which a lot has changed since then. Has it really taken that long to evolve to this? I think its time for an album lads, don't you? I have high hopes for this. Pick this up immediately.
