Burial Hordes - War, Revenge And Total Annihilation
The smell of sulphur fuming forth from the infernal pit, the armies of Hell storming the heavens, it's all there. Hellenic black metal in the tradition of Rotting Christ, The Burial Hordes are the business end of a black metal whipping stick, and their new release "War, Revenge and Total Annihilation" is the album that will provide soundtrack for your journey down the dark path you are already following.
Most of the tunes are pretty balls-out full speed ahead drum-blast attack force with the exception of the seventh track, Majestic Black Dawn Arise. That one is a bit more of a lumbering rocker. Nice clips from the horror movie, "The Ring," at the end of "Unholy Ultraviolent Domination." The final track "Glorious Inferno" is a more mellow, reflective piece that conjures images of a burning village recently ransacked by the hordes.
The Burial Hordes have released three prior demos, the first one back in 2001 entitled "Entering The Untrodden Forest." In 2005 they released a split CD with Eschaton, another black metal band from Greece, and that one was called "Total Gathering Of Supremacy." "War, Revenge and Total Annihilation" is the first full-length CD from Burial Hordes, whose members also serve the dark cause in several other bands on the Hellenic scene.
