By The Patient - Catenation Of Adversity
2006: By tThe Patient was formed.
2007: The band developed their sound and started making more brutal songs.
Early 2008: Adam joined the band and added a more technical approach.
Late 2008: The demo "The Carcass Monologue" was released and secured By The Patient a nomination for 'talent of the year' at the Danish Metal Awards. The band also won the local 'Band Fight' on Bornholm.
Early 2009: Tan joined the band and the current line-up was complete.
2009: By The Patient is signed to Rask Music Management
Summer 2009: By The Patient released their "Catenation Of Adversity" and will tour the nation summer and fall 2009.
At first I want to gratulate the band to their ticket to Wacken Open Air 2010. They won the Wacken Metal Battle.
Now to their latest album "Catenation Of Adversity". The EP contains 5 tracks and was self released. In case of they are searching for a label, I think this should only be a promo.
The EP sounds very professional and well engineered. The boys from Denmark play fast and sick Death Metal, combined with a lot fast Grind influnces. They also show, that the band is able to write nice slow parts with cool harmonic guitar soli. The Shouter called Tan offers nice deep grunts and high scream varieties, the guitareros Simon and Theis choke the guitars really sick and brutal, and final the rythm section with Troels on Bass and Adam on drums give the rest for fine tightnes and brutality. This album is recommend highly for all fans of brutal neckbraking death / grind.
By The Patient won the Wacken Metal Battle rightly! I wish them a good show at Wacken and a lot of brutal listeners in front of the stage, and of course a label! Cheers and horns up!
