It is almost 10 years ago since their debut album "Conforming To Abnormality" came out but in 2007 this is their new opus. "Xenosapien" offers 12 tracks of their own style which means mind breaking death grind with a twist. As they are not too lazy to do even some jazzy, rock or doom elements get woven into the songs. The songs are full of twisted guitar licks (but where are the insane leads?), tempo or melody changes, brute force or grooving rhythms. Cephalic Carnage plays intelligent metal with lots of ingredients that melts into frantic songs. With this album Cephalic Carnage proof to be still in the top league of extreme metal with a twist.
