Dark Remains - Planet Earth Scourged

Dark Remains is a Dutch old school death metal band, founded by 2 ex members of Eternal Solstice (btw a great band). After line up changes the band recorded this album already in the winter of 2004 and finally released in 2006. Like I said before the band plays old school death metal but in the mid paced tempo with changes to faster or even slower parts. Think of Bolt Thrower or slower Cannibal Corpse or even Eternal Solstice. Don't expect flying unguided missiles but rock steady hammering death metal. Very few guitar leads in heavy riffing and dry grunts (the vocalist is already out of the band). Drums are doing the job and prefer banging instead of being creative. Knowing this album is already 2 years old it still is a good album with its headbang addictive songs.
