Darkthrone - The Cult Is Alive

Already the 12th release from these Norwegians. Darkthrone started as a real raw black metal band and throughout the years they changed. Is it still black metal? I think so as it is still heavy, sinister and raw. But nowadyas it contains punk and rock n roll influences. Think of a mixture of Sodom, Celtic Frost, Venom and Bathory. The songs have a groove that is going on and on, raw whisky vocals with fuzzy guitarriffs and a few solos. The good thing about this album is that it contain songs that need interaction. I just mention the track "Graveyard Slut" which is bringing 80s memories and just want you to shout it out together. After 1 listening it sounds like a simple album but when played more you hear new parts everytime. Try it!!
