Decrepitaph/Humiliation - The Carnal Slumber/Enemy's Perimeter

Maaan, fucking split CDs. I love split CDs. I believe that the whole drill of a split CD, engulfs all the lust of the true underground scene in it. I mean, the whole definition of a split CD would require two or more bands to join forces on a release that contains music from both two-three four or how many of them get in this shit together. Sometimes (mostly), the whole split thing is powered by the bands themselves, they split the bill into two or three or whatever and each band pays its share. Now that's some fucking underground spirit damn it. And of course all this prologue was made cos what we have here is a two band split CDr they way I like to hear it is, a 2 way split.

So this is a 2013 release and it is a split CD between Decrepitaph from Texas and Humiliation from Malaysia. Decrepitaphs side here, bares the title "The Carnal Slumber". Fucking old school to the bone is what they think of, when death metal is the shit, and of course that's what they play. Fuck me, those beasts from Texas seem to know how to produce ultra swampy, and intense death metal. Just one song but it really triggers one's curiosity for more, and if you search a bit, you'll find that Decepitaph have released several split CDs, demos, and not only that. They also have three full length albums and they are actually not that old, they exist from 2006 and since then they have never caught a break. Hard workerzz don't you think?

The next and final song of this split CD comes from the Malaysian ravagers, Humiliation. They are a bit younger than Decrepitaph but they are also hard workers. They exist from 2009 and since then, they have released 2 EPs, 4 full lengths and this split CD. Their side on this split, "Enemy's Perimeter", is also an old school aspect of death metal, the difference with Decrepitaph is that while the first are full on satanic death metal, like Incantation and stuff like that, Humiliation, prefer war to be their muse on death metal and of course their song couldn't be very far from what the fathers of war in death metal taught us. That's right people. If you like Bolt Thrower, you'll find Humiliations' side of this split CD very tastefull. The explotions, the gunfires and of course all the elements of a well played groovy death metal song, are there. Can't hate em. Well played, well performed and old school to the bone.

This whole release comes out from the collaboration of the record labels those bands are in. Eldritch Lunar Miasma Records, in conjunction with Dybbuk Records have released this 7-inch split CD and it comes out 500 copies (100 green and 400 black) pressed on 42-gram vinyl with a four panel folder. Damn it. Looks like a collector's item to me, run for it lads! I am sure that the old schoolers already have sunk their teeth in it. As for the rest, definitely worths a shot. Two of the best underground death metal bands out there join forces in a 10 minute hell on earth. Need more than that?
