Diocletian - Decimator
In the year 2004 Diocletian (New Zealand) was formed to fire their bestial black death metal upon the unbelievers. In 2005 their desecration was scarved on their first demo tape and followed by the MCD "Decimator". The MCD is released by Asphyxiate Recordings and contains 4 tracks and a cover of Bolt Thrower. The MCD starts with a slow instrumental which is followed by the title track, which is also starting with a slow instrumental part. But after 2 minutes they begin to rage. Mostly fast tunes but also breaking mid parts. Raw barking vocals and heavy slicing guitars. The drums sound like they are recorded in the back room and miss the power to become the real backbone. Also the patterns he is playing are not that creative. In fact the whole disc is not sounding creative. Ofcourse it is a wall of sound and sounding angry but when it stopped I didn't feel like playing it again.
