Disease - The Stream of Disillusion
This is the next album of extreme, dark, progressive heavy metal for this band from Italy. Founded in 1994, for nearly 20 years this band has been attempting to take over Italy through either progressive or extreme elements. They have been jumping around the labels for a few years before settling with their most recent label.
At some points, the album feels disjointed and disordered, especially with some of the vocals that seem to overlap each other with no real sense at all, and this ruins this album spectacularly and quite early on. There is an attempt to mix normal metal and death metal lyrics, and this falls far short of anything that could be considered talented.
It is a struggle to listen to it at times, and it doesn’t get any easier the deeper you get into it.
