Dustborn - Dethroned

This fairly new band was formed in 2017 by former members of Desire For Sorrow:
- Vlajda on the bass
- Bimbo on the drums
- Johny on the keyboards and vocals
- on the guitars they are joined by Dan Kalis who is a former Arthemion
- also Aaron on the guitars and Venca doing the vocals, but I'm not sure wether they're permanent members or not.

In 2018 they produced their first 5 track EP "MMXVIII" and released by themselves. On this EP they were experimenting with the sound and in which way they wanted to go, but for me it sounded already promising.

Their first full album called "Dethroned" is more than I was expecting. 8 songs in total and clocking almost 32 minutes, it's darker, more symphonic and also technically excellent. When the EP was released it was already great, but this first full album is much better due to more bombastic strings and keyboards.

When you listen to songs as: 'River Stained Red', 'Of All Our Anguish', 'Monsters Along The Road' and 'Zealot's Lament' you can hear and almost touch the darkness. I can highly recommend this new band for everyone who loves the dark, doom, death and symphonic metal.
