Dying – Born From Impurity

Dying are a band from Sevilla, Spain, and after nine years of work they are now finally able to offer their debut album Born From Impurity. We are in front of eleven tracks of death metal, pretty much brutal and enough well executed, but without any really interesting point. The whole offer sounds a little bit dated and doesn’t reach the right level of inspiration for an album that cannot be renounced. The music is right in the middle between a brutal death album and a classic death platter: usually it should be a positive note but this time the result is sometimes too anonymous in my opinion. The two guitars are never really penetrating and memorable (even if sometimes they play quite tangled and close knit), the voice is not so expressive and convincing as the kind of music would like to have and few solos and some old style "stop and go" don’t rise the medium quality: these are the biggest lacks of an album that should  leave many death metal lovers with a worrying sense of indifference.
