Elision / Ivan Drago - Split

The idea of Elision began in 1994 and after several releases and tours the band is doing now a split with the other German band Ivan Drago. Elision makes diverse tempo songs with intense vocals and melody. Even some funky rhythms like the beginning of the 3rd track. Overall it combines agression with melody and I like that.

Ivan Drago comes from Berlin and is "only" active since 2003. Their sound is more chaotic as it jumps around from different corners. Raw shout vocals, atmospheric riffing guitars and intense hectic drums. They even use some jazzy parts in the songs.

Two bands on this split that show that post modern hardcore can be interesting and of which Ivan Drago is my favorit.
