Embryonic Autopsy - Prophecies Of The Conjoined

Embryonic Autopsy are a brutal old school death metal band that takes up the good things played at the turn of the 90s.

The band consists of Tim King (Oppressor) on vocals and Scott Roberts (Otep) on guitars. For this "Prophecies Of The Conjoined" we also see the participation, as a guest, of illustrious and well-known guests within the world metal scene who certainly need no introduction. What if I told you ..... James Murphy (Death / Obituary), Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation) and Doc Coyle (God Forbid)? What would you reply?

The work is well structured by dividing the sound wall that these guys have managed to build in front of them into 10 songs. Tim's voice is really deep and heavy and is always present and very characteristic within each song. While remaining on structures that remind us of the golden years of death metal, we still feel modern references and in step with the times. In the middle of the album we find the very heavy 'Upon The Mayan Throne', a song that is perfectly set within this work.

From the opener 'Regurgitated And Reprocessed' to the end of this album is a succession of heavy and cutting riffs obviously embellished by the support of the guests mentioned above (Terrance appears in the album's opener).

Excellent album, certainly not something excellent but certainly benefited by the experience of all the musicians involved. Definitely an album to listen to and have.
