Everwood - The Raven's Nest

Everwood is hailing from Hungary and their roots are going back to 1997 when they started under the name Neverwood. After several line up changes and several gigs the band released its debut "Mind Games" in 2004 with the new monnicker Everwood. Here in 2007 the band is releasing their 2nd album as a concept one divided into 3 parts. The songs sound various from each other but obviously belonging to eachother. Quality can be heard in these progressive metal rock songs. Crafted and diversity in songwriting and with good production. I enjoyed the album as it worked perfectly in the background. Enough variation like atmospheric quiet pieces or up tempo parts. And when you take a look at the CDROM part you get an explanation about the concept. So beside the pleasant listening you can also spend time reading the little book.
