Heathen Beast - Ayodhya Burns

Raw, blasphemous, and powerful. That would be the way to describe black metalists Heathen Beast's debut EP. It is a brief three tracks, but sharp and raw on the production to unleash a firestorm that is akin to 1349 or Dodsferd. The vocals are high squeals that cut to the bone and are equally in competition with the guitars, that also tend to squeal. As fans should expect, tremolo picking and blastbeats are galore so don't expect anything outside the traditional sound or 'super' ear provoking. However, it is a good start full of catchy groove and bits that are buried into the mix, and if one listens carefully enough, they can hear it well, such as on "Religious Genocide."
