Heir Corpse One - Fly The Fiendish Skies

Debut album for Heir Corpse One, brand new (and unknown) band that includes members (Rogga Johansson, Kjetil Lynghaug, Marcus Rosenqvist and Peter Svensson) from multiple Swedish bands.

10 songs for a total of 28 minutes of death metal without technicalities or anything else. Death'n'roll in a clear and typical Swedish vein pushed towards heavy rhythms and so dear to the latest Entombed. Homogeneous disc, sincere and direct. Don't expect anything else from this job. Unfortunately I don't know much about this band but as always the result is what counts.

"Fly The Fiendish Skies" sounds direct, supported by a pounding rhythm section and simple riffs that are capable of doing their job. The title track itself is the most striking example. Genuine, simple but engaging album. Here you never let go, and fortunately the whole record deliver these echoes so dear to Sweden. And we like it that way. The album closes in style with what I consider the best song of the whole full length. Nothing new but definitely a good job.
