Heorot - Ragnarok

The history of Heorot goes back to 2002 when vocalist Modsognir had a vision to create music in a mixture of black, viking, folk and pagan metal. The first demo was released in 2005 and the second one a year later. What would have a good year turned out to almost the end of the band as Modsognir passed away. But the band continued as Modsognir would have wanted and so a new vocalist was found in Tiipi. He is not only of vocal capabilities but he also can play guitar, keyboards and flute. And all those things an be heard in the songs. Tempo of the songs is mid tempo with stomping rhythms or atmosphere passages. Also subtile elements like a piano passage or acoustc guitars make a nice mood. The feeling when hearing this music is a happy one with not too difficult passages or ideas. Just heroic music that feel comfortable at the first note and invites to sing along with. Don't forget to raise the beer!
