Ignition Code - Upgraded

Ignition Code briefly share their short demo with the masses of industrial technical metalcore/ melodic death metal, and so far it stands as a pretty impressive attempt. At first it may seem like a techno laden industrial album, but "Human B.P.M" has more metalcore and nu-metal elements to it with its buzzing, segmented chug and bellowing vocals that sometimes take on a distorted clean style that sounds a bit hard on the ears, but adds variation to the album overall. There are industrial elements within the background of the track, but only on this one. The other tracks seem more like regular hardcore and metalcore with melodic death metal mixed within, such as a track like "Game Gear" with a great guitar interlude before everything goes back to that thick, chugging aggression. The vocals tend to stay one sided in their roars, but the clean vocals really make a breakthrough on the last track, "Wikrokid," as they lose their watery distortion and ring a lot clearer without being so annoying, and when layered with the harsher vocals, are really used to great effect. Overall, a good start, and hopefully a label will grab them soon so they can continue displaying their work to metal fans all over the globe.

  1. Human B.P.M.
  2. Game Gear
  3. Wikrokid
