Indignity – Decrepitude

Fresh on the scene Polish Death Metallers Indignity show the world they mean business with this their first demo. Straight away the bands influences are pretty apparent. They have that trademark Polish sound cranking out Death Metal with that technical, clinical edge. This is fine by me!

The two names that pop up straight away are Vader and Decapitated; the riffs have that dark twisted feel but also have a healthy ferociousness that so many newer bands often forget while they are out “Brutaling” each other. Opening track 'Violence Escalation' focuses mainly on groove with a Gorguts twisty kind of thing going on which is pretty cool. 'Soldier Of My Own' opens things up a bit more with blasts and shredding. 'Skull Trapantation' is by far the highlight. Everything comes together on this track, blasts, odd time signatures and a scorching solo!

They have a long way to go before they are in any of the previously mentioned bands leagues mind, however they don’t have the expensive production that a label backed band have so that’s no mean feat and there is plenty of time to work their craft. From the 10 minutes of music we have here it is evident that the band have done their homework and know what they are doing which is all you really need from a demo.

This is a strong statement of intent, Keep an eye on this lot!
