Infernal Hate - Abicen Abora (promo)
These guys hail from Spain and their biography is in Spanish so I can't give you a whole of information from their myspace as I don't speak Spanish. Therefore, the music in this case needs to speak for itself in this review.
This is a promo from their third full length and it kicks off with the aptly named Punishment, which is a blasting slab of heaviness which tails off into more groove laden territory. These guys like to slam in spots also - Prophecy of Doom. From there it is death metal 101 yes it is heavy, yes it grooves and slams in spots but it does not necessarily have stand out originality but I guess sometimes you don't need that as this does work.
It is hard to get a feel for the whole album but from the tracks on display here, these guys are proficient musicians, playing some pretty technical death metal. It is not super technical but has a hintof the old school in parts.
The jury is out till the full length drops in its entirety.
