Inner Rage – Promo 2008

Bygone in Brazil in 1996 before re-allocating to London, and establishing its current power-trio since 2003, INNER RAGE’s metal document so far is a round of demoes, a history that hopefully is to change later this 2009, as a full-length recording is already in the oven while I write.
Long coming, but definitely catapulted by a barrage of reviews that wherever you read hardly ever speaks bad of the band, what this abstract triumvirate configure on this promo is Zappesque metal induced by an off-the-hook thrash that reeks of honest blood, sweat and tears in its making! Think DEATHROW’s Deception Ignored, think MESHUGGAH, think MEKONG DELTA without orchestral arrangements, then stop thinking, put all these thoughts into a witches’ bowl mixed by Frank Zappa’s mother and Ornette Coleman’s aunt at one of their coffee morning meet-ups and there you have it – INNER RAGE!

Being a demo, it might not capture the very essence this triunity blast at you live, but still, if one had to opine that the band has earned an ounce of weight to their heavy riffs and painful licks for every year they have been around, I would dispute that claiming that the measuring unit must definitely have been per month not per year! Tacitly bestial while concurrently artfully brooding, their debut might be to metal what the Vesuvio mountain was to Pompei – beware its eruption!
