Insane Therapy - Veil Of Silence
Insane Therapy's first demo- 'Veil Of Silence'- is an aggressive slab of deathcore metal, but it's only a small start for what these guys are capabale of. Mostly the music is comprised of the usual chug n' grind riffs with a mix of deep growls, hardcore bellows, and a few higher shrieks that usually don't always sit well with listeners. "Where's Your God?" is a pretty standard deathcore track with the usual format whereas "One Thousand Why" tries to be a bit more experimental, not only by being slightly more melodic but mixing in some cleaner vocal styles, despite that they may be hard to hear. Indeed, it can be compared to the likes of heavier Disarmonia Mundi, a melodic death metal band most notable for the participation of Speed Strid of Soilwork fame. The title track closes the album with a bit of a gritty, and aggressive piece but also tries to mix in some more experimental elements such as electronic blips amongst the chugging guitars and rougher shouts. These little branching out parts do their best to diversify Insane Therapy's sound, but overall listeners will still probably feel like it is chained to the 'generic deathcore' wall. Hopefully the group will continue to expand and keep making their kind of music just as melodic as it is blatantly aggressive.
