Iron Flesh - Forged Faith Bleeding

Iron Flesh are an old school death metal band hailing from Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France that started out their life in the year 2017 and have been very productive ever since. With two EPs, 2017's "Worship The Necrogod" and 2018's "Scourge Of Demonic Incantations," and one full-length, 2019's "Forged Faith Bleeding," which we are discussing here, under their belts already. Iron Flesh started their life as a one man project with mastermind, frontman, vocalist and rhythm guitarist, for their current form, Julien handling everything for the first EP mentioned above. Wanting to take his death metal deliciousness out on to the stage to share with the masses, he flushed out a full line-up of other crusty fellows shortly after that first recording to bang out these old school tinged gems.

Now, when I use the term old school death metal I am not talking about the multitude of bands who have either become mere Incantation clones or just took one song from Dismemberment and cloned that over and over and over again. No, I am talking about a time when death metal bands were multi-dimensional and could have variances and changes in there music without being called out for being false or not truly death anymore. While Iron Flesh do worship at the altar of the HM-2 sound, they use it in a way that harkens back to those early days I/we all love so much. It is old school swedish death metal, from France, it is the type of death metal that grabs hold of you instantly and keeps your attention for the whole duration of the recording. No matter which one of the aforementioned ones you would choose.

Iron Flesh's "Forged Faith Bleeding" is a true banger, full of high quality death metal that truly and honestly harkens back to the days of yore. This is your dad's death metal and it is better than yours, way better.
