Kimaera - Ebony Veiled

Formed in 2000 in Beirut (Lebanon) Kimaera come with a nice debut album in 2006 called "Ebony Veiled". This combo playes a mixture of doom and gothic death metal originated with Mediterranean elements. Male grunts and female chants are uses as vocals backed up by violins and piano. Tempo is doomy slow but they change to swinging Mediterranean rhythms. All is sounding a bit romantic but yet melancholic. Together with a good production this comes of as a nice debut. Currently the band is working on the follow up so curious if they tighten the rope further.
