Last Souls - Light
Last Souls (Italy) is releasing their third demo after their previous work "Inner Voices" from 2004. The band is playing a progressive mixture of black, doom and death metal. Nice songstructures with very nice guitarwork and also the leads. Raw and screamy black metal vocals, growling or clean singing, they do it all. The songs are various in tempo, melody and atmosphere and not easy to be put in a box. I like the switching in the songs which create a different atmosphere. The whole MCD last about 25 minutes and because of the technical skills and the progressive approach makes this a big step towards their full length.
