Limb For A Limb - Aberration Complete
This death grind from Hungary and I must first of all comment on the highly detailed artwork, this really sets up a massive professional tone for this their first full length effort. ‘Zombies’ is a great tune, full of energy and life and brandishing more of their death metal persona. There are some clearly debatable song titles on offer here, but their cover of Marduk’s ‘Panzer Division Marduk’ is a new take on a seasoned track. ‘Raped’, ‘Spicy Human Flesh’ and ‘Cut into Pieces’ are really nasty compositions, but in a very good sense. The grind flavours hold all the power for me and I cannot blame my addition for such tunes, the vocals especially are very enticing. I do hate these spasm type renditions that some “grind death” bands go for, no such disturbance here, this is really cool and to the uninitiated I guess this album will be terrifying.
There is not much more to say really, I rarely get let down by such good grind death metal, this is very meaty, precise release that lyrically it has a touch of narcissism about it, you feel like the stories told are genuine to the band, these are real, this is real, this is unquestionable angst and precision all rolled into one hell of a debut record.
