Linear Sphere - Reality Dysfunction

When I got this CD and the info sheet was telling me that they play prog-fusion metal I doubt if I would like it. Normally I am into the extreme but I gave Linear Sphere a fair chance. I crossed my fingers after hearing the keyboard intro but let them go right away when the real music started. Like the sheet is also telling that 3 members are teaching at university! So musically it is oke, complex structures and rhythms. Blending different styles like prog rock, death metal and even jazzy pieces. Tempo is midtempo but with breaks for faster or slower parts. Another thing that is fabulouas, are the guitarleads. Original and fast. One thing I don't like too much are the vocals. He sings in different styles but most of the time a bit annoying. But the songs are long and giving you long listening pleasure in these dark days!!
