Maniac Abductor - Casualties Of Causality
Man what a fucking good album from this in 2013 formed band from Joensun Finland. The members are: Jesse Räsänen is the drummer from 2013 and also started as drummer in 2018 for the death metal band Sadistic Drive. Jesse Elo guitar also in the band from 2013. In 2014 they’re joined by Janne Parvjainen on bass and Niklas Pappinen on vocals. This year Saku Tauru joined the band on rhythm guitar.
In 2015 they released their debut EP "Trash Assault". For me it is a tribute to the 80’s thrash metal from the big 3 but also from Exodus, Anthrax and Onslaught. Two years later there was "Fight Or Die" the new single but still no full album and this year the first full album came out.
HELL YEAH!! This is what I call old school trash, no bullshit but the real stuff. It’s fast, loud, kick’s your ass and also gives you a heart attack. The aformentioned influences you still can hear in their new album. For example 'Fooled Again' sounds for me a bit like Exodus’s 'Lunatic parade' or 'Hatebound' reminds me of a song from Megadeath. The cover of Sepultura’s ‘Troops Of doom’ is very good and well done. This album has given me so much energy and relieved me of so much stress it’s fucking awesome.
If you are loving 80’s thrash you should listen to these guys. For me they’re the new generation of 80’s thrash metal and I think they will follow up the big name’s and become the headliner in the near future on big festivals. This album is super and I hope to see them soon in the Netherlands on stage.
