Mastodon is switching labels to Warner so this is there last record for Relapse. On this album you here their first recording before the became known. Besides the remastered songs (also released as "Lifesblood" EP)you also hear 4 songs never heard before (track 3, 7, 8 and 9). A bit heavier and thrashier than you heard on Remission or Leviathan. Songs that change tempo frequently and easily with aggressive vocals. This MCD is cool for the diehard fans who want to complete their collection but the majority is looking forward for their new album.
