Metanera - Soul Power
This one man project (or is it a band?) comes from Italy and did everything by himself. When you look at the artwork and songtitles you feel the anger, struggle and melancholy under his skin. The kind of metal he plays is diverse and with some exotic sounding instruments (eg track 5). Tempo of the songs is in mid tempo with breaks and changes. Lots of melody and atmospheric structures. Vocals are clean and some female vocals, good guitarwork with some nice leads. Not a CD to jump around but more specific listening. Nice job.
