Mutant Supremacy - Infinite Suffering

Woah!!! Now that sure is fuckin`heavy!! Brooklyn, New York`s Mutant Supremacy serve us up a massive slab of death metal much in the vein of Incantation and Morbid Angel. The production on offer here is so damn thick and heavy. The guitars are huge and super detuned and very chainsaw esque. The drums are very real sounding, with every cymbal hit jarring the skull. The bass is tucked nicely into the mix filling out the whole production which makes the whole thing sound so damn huge. Theres a nice balance in the instruments which are beautifully dissected by some rip roarin` leads which breaks things up a little. Vocally they sound like somewhere between Steve Tucker Morbid Angel and Dave Vincent Morbid Angel with some Glen Benton- like high and twisted bits. Its so unashamedly old school and early 90`s death metal its unreal but at this time of the night, its exactly what the doctor ordered!

There definitely is an Entombed/Dismember-vibe off the whole thing, it would be a crying shame not to admit this but by jove they do the whole thing well. The whole cd cuts through you like a rusty chainsaw with tracks such as "Morbid Dismemberment", "Extinction" and "Vermin". You would also be forgiven if you heard an Obituary influence too but im sure by now youve certainly spotted a thing in common with their influences. These guys wear there influences on the sleeves but then why not?!  I think my only gripe with the recording would be the overuse of wah pedal in the solos but fuck it, it works thats just me being a fussy cunt.

Although this cd is self-released, to these ears its got Ibex Moon written all over or perhaps this one slipped threw the net, i dunno but what i do know is this cd kicks ass and fair play for getting it out there by yourselves guys, for this should open alot of doors. A classic in the making for it wont be leaving my player for a longtime. Looking forward to your next offering already!
