Necrochaos – Crawling Through Cadavers
Necrochaos play death metal in that slow swampy way that Incantation and the like do. Typically the songs swing between a slow dirge and building to a fast grinding pace. It’s dark dirty death metal with a slight black metal touch for extra grimness.
The opening title track is a punchy number with a good bit of groove to lure you in. 'Once The Blood Clots' is particularly nasty and the slow passages are as heavy as six feet worth of soil on top of your coffin. 'Engulfed In Chaos' is more direct and fast, the riffs are razor sharp. This track has a real viciousness to it.
There’s no point is dragging this review out as the EP is only 20 minutes. Necrochaos make their intent clear on this release. It’s an enjoyable listen with some awesome riffs. Personally I was a little burnt out on this style but this release stands out so it’s definitely worth your time.
