Nefarium - Ad Disciplinum

This Italian band's latest output called "Ad Disciplinum" is really fresh stuff of fine extreme metal. Mainly are the songs in melodic black metal, but there are a lot of other styles combined to great songs.

Nefarium was formed in the second half of the 90's and since the beginning the band had as purpose playing fast, violent and satanic black metal, so the first words in their bio. Nefarium has a really long and detailed official bio, so if you're interested check their homepage.

To summarize: this is the band's 5th output, released under Agonia Records. On this album are 8 tracks of damn good metal. Their songs shine with absolute great melodies, shreeding brutality and fast drumming. All their titles are quite interesting in case of songwrting. Nefarium knows, when to 'apply the handbrake' and use hymnic leads to power up the song.

Very special are the vocals: deep painful screams. The work on the other instruments is also really good, and there's always a little surpise in the songs. "Ad Disciplinum" is a damn good album, it won't be boring to hear it again. Fianlly, this album reminds on passed days, but sounds innovative, seperate and fresh. Horns up!
