One Master - Reclusive Blasphemy
Good ol' American black metal, One Master has been gracing the occult black metal American scene since 2002 with the release of their first demo which was followed by another demo 2004 with their first full length titled "Forsaking A Dead World" released in 2006. One Master have been busy putting out their dark musical message holding 2 demos and 5 full length albums under their belt. Current lineup stands as: Valder (guitar/vocals), Blood Eagle (drums), Black Wolf (bass) and Dr. Messiah (guitars).
I admit that I have never heard of One Master before listening to this current album so cannot personally compare it to their previous works however I will state that this is a unique work which I find presents an intelligent aggression.
"Reclusive Blasphemy" is a horrific melody of unpolished occult or Left Hand Path themed black metal. There is certainly no glam found within these tracks and this album in it's entirety does have that old Scandinavian black metal sound that touches the majority of our little black hearts.
A lot of melodic dancing of sounds here playing off the fire of this band's gear. Raspy vocals with moans and some groans all in the right places then adding into the mixing pot the menacing riffs and racing drums giving "Reclusive Blasphemy" a mean assertive force within it's atmosphere. If you are into bands such as Watain and 1349, which seem to be a slight influence found within these tracks, you should then find home in "Reclusive Blasphemy".
This album truly awakens Hell on Earth and it gets my highest honor 5 stars.
