Opeth - The Roundhouse Tapes

Well, here we have Opeth second live registration after the DV "Lamentations". This is like an end of a chapter. This is the first album without drummer Martín López and the last one with the guitar player Peter Liedgren.

Always you have a live album, you maybe are not agree with the set list In my opinion I miss here songs like "Advent" or "The Lepper Affinity", but I must say that we have a great album, not only for Opeth fans but also for the extreme metal fans. You can hear songs from almost all Opeth albums in this double live album as "Deliverance" is forgotten. The concert starts with the awesome song "When" from the 1998 release "My Arms, Your Hearse". Between the songs Akefeldt makes jokes with the audience, quote: "things like this is the song of a tuned down guitar" after he plays a little note and another things...

Also, they have a lot of arreglements with the old songs, when they didn't not have a keyboard player, like in the song "Bleak", one of the best Opeth songs. For finished the first CD, they play the song "Night And The Stillwater"

The second CD has 3 songs. The first song from their "Damnation" album, "Blackwater Park" (with Akerfelt joking again) and for closing the concert, their more famous song "Demon Of The Fall".

As a conclusion this is a great album, with cool and heavy production and you will enjoy it while you listening to it. Hope that they will edit this album on DVD as they told about and I cannot wait for their new album that would be a really killer!!
