Putrevore – Morphed From Deadbreath
Fucking rotten! This is what Putrevore is! Dave Rotten (Christ Denied, Avulsed) and Roger "Rogga" Johansson (Ribspreader, Deranged, Paganizer + 1000 other bands) unite their sicknesses to give birth to this disgusting display of decay called "Morphed From Deathbreath". What they offer, is oldschool death metal in the vain of Reifert-projects such as Autopsy, Abscess, the Ravenous, very sludgy and down tuned. Imagine this: you’re out at the beach on a sunny day, having fun near the sea, but suddenly the sun disappears, the sky turns black and for evil’s sake you realize that you’re in the middle of a filthy swamp, a stinky mist surrounds you and you realize that something inhuman is coming out of the dark waters…the abomination stares you in the eye, starts to growl and then…you die!!!! This is how the record gets in to you and that’s why you’re going to like it. The abomination above is Dave, who has done an adorable job with the vocals, sounding pretty fucking low-pitched, almost guttural, he gives you no clue about what he’s singing about, and manages to increase the amounts of slime and disgust on every song…the guy is an artist! In a few words, Putrevore’s not interested in how fast or technical their music is… their goal is to create negative feelings and they do that in the best way! 100% brutal, 100% death metal!
