Sacred Oath - Darkness Visible
Let's go back to halfway the 80s when US power metal was a hype. In 1985 when 4 guys formed a band and called it Sacred Oath. Inspired by bands like Fates Warning, Queensryche and Maiden the band recorded a demo and got signed by Mercenary Records who also released the debut "A Crystal Vision". This was in 1987 and although it got good respone the band broke up a year later. Ten years after the break the band got back together and re-recorded the debut. In 2006 they recorded new songs and released their latest album in 2007 on Sentinel Steel. The band still plays power metal with clear vocals, catchy rhythms and nice solos. Various tempos and sometimes a touch of modern metal but overall it is dated to the 80s. So if you like that period catch up with Sacred Oath but if you are more modern try something else.
