Sear Bliss – Glory And Perdition
This Glory and Perdition was the 5th full length album for the mighty Hungarian Sear Bliss and, previously released in 2004, it’s now available again thanks to the efforts of Vic Records. Well, what to say about an album that signed the career of a band with now 15 years of existence on the shoulders? Without any doubt this is one of their best releases, mature, strong, with intense songs, a great sound and wonderful artwork. A good part of you should already know Sear Bliss but for the other ones this release should be of some help to discover a band that has always tried to create an original sound based on many different elements. Not a “classic” symphonic black opera in Dimmu Borgir style but a particular epic offer: during Glory and Perdition you will find not only the brutality and the fury of the black metal (Immortal and Dark Funeral between the most savage influences) but also dark elements and deep visions, synth and trumpets for a totally different final atmosphere. The great guest vocals by Attila Csihar are only the last thing to talk about: four years ago this was a solemn album and now nothing is changed. Still wonderful.
