Shere Kahn - Power Break

Starting out as Phoenix Down (around 2010) – Shere Kahn was at that point just a side project that quickly grew since the demise of Phoenix Down.  Headed by Josh Green who growls out the vocals, along with David Burke on guitar – Shere Kahn has now been thrust into the spotlight working on an up and coming E.P entitled ‘The Path of Self’ of which a single will be taken from it at the end of July.

The guys are looking for a temporary bassist, drummer and another guitarist for their live show coming up this summer after which they say they will be recruiting full time members. (Anyone interested should contact the band directly)

Power Break
This track is by no means ‘just a stroll in the park’ It is without a doubt gripping as it tells a story, incorporating Josh and David plus extras, and has been put together very professionally - like a sort of ‘fly on the wall’ look at how the saga unfolds.

The meaty metal montage is brought together not only with a gripping story line but a captivating musical track that jumps in as the speaking ends, however the adventure continues with a lot of persistent rhythms that wrap fiercely around the ears from the start.

“Five minutes and twenty one seconds of vibrant, insatiable and agile metal core in all its glory - Absolutely superb! Watch out for these rigorous manipulators of sound”

All this unfolds around the leafy suburbs of Liverpool, in glorious sunshine I might add, which make it all the more interesting for fellow Liverpudlians trying to guess where it all took place, but let’s not digress from the powerful blend of metal core here. It is not only strong, but monumental in providing a good slab of hearty fearsome drum beats and antagonistic riffs, that blend superbly with Josh’s infectious vocal, and who also narrates through the story.

This video/track has everything combined and it will be good to see how it sounds live when the band do their debut gig at a later date.

For lovers of metal core this is one track that will go a long way to helping the band launch their new career, so download it for free on the above link.
