Shredlust- Shredlust
Shredlust are a relatively new band from Poland who have just released their first demo for the Metal world to hear, but it sounds pretty intriguing for Thrash Metal of only three tracks. The sound is excellent and the rhythms catchy without an overclock of speed or a sense of montonoy. The opening track "Rage" holds plenty of melody before jumping into the thicker chugs, but the two play off each other while the vocals experiment, from whispers to echoing chorus chants which will certainly make this track an anthem to the usual raw, throaty Heavy Metal/ Thrash singing. "This Is War" holds an excellent opening intro and even sounds a bit Nu-Metal-ish along the lines of mid era Machine Head with the alternation between clean and harsh vocals while the rest of the music is rather mid paced, but still enjoyable. Finally there is "The Third" which sounds a bit simmilar to "Rage" but just carries directly throughout as a great Heavy Metal tune that almost any fan of Metal in general can relate. The result is an incrediblly accessible album that whether one is a fan of Metal or Rock can easily find something to enjoy as it stems back all the way to an original, yet modern sound. Shredlust are surely to go far as long as they keep up their spirit and strong production of impressive music.
