Somnolent - Monochromes Philosophy
Gloom and Doom from the Ukraine. "Monochromes Philosophy" is a very depressive moody album that creates an atmosphere of deep sorrow. This is very much a funeral doom album which to me is "My Dying Bride" influenced with hints of the musical intelligence of "Pink Floyd". If I were to create a new catagory of doom one could title this funeral jazz doom metal due to the diversity and influentiual blends. Spontanious sounding riffs with a nightmarish build up towards the end. If you are ready to take a long 1 hour road of pain and despair than this is the album for you. 3.5/5.
